His Test debut on 29th December 1978 and ODI debut on 13th January 1979. Allan Border played a 271 matches out of this he won 139 matches ,loss 89 matches , 1 match was tied, and remaining 38 match draw. His winning percentage is 51.29 and lossing percentage 32.84, he scored 11,174 runs in test match and in ODI scored 6,524 runs. He hit 27 centuries in his test career and 63 half centuries, In ODI career he hit 3 centuries and 39 half centuries.
